My name is Ryan Healy and I am the founder of the Loyola Entrepreneurship Club. I am currently a Junior who is studying abroad in Madrid. My freshman year, a junior named Wes Barlow (who has since graduated) and I started the club with the intention of promoting Entrepreneurial thinking and creating active change to Loyola through an entrepreneurial focus. I want to create a platform for Loyola students to challenge each other as well as facilitate the development of ideas as well as create a network of resources to aide them in their endeavors. Our objective as a club is not to create a classroom environment, where information is passed from a single authoritative figure, but a community of likeminded peers creating a dialogue fueled by passion and curiosity for entrepreneurship.
I am very much looking forward to returning to Loyola this coming semester and meeting all the new faces that have joined, as well as seeing how the familiar faces have changed and grown with the experiences of an additional semester under their belts. I would like to thank the current leadership team for the effort and dedication that they have put into the club this semester. I intend to build upon their efforts and achievements. In order to do this I would love to receive feedback from your experiences. What worked for you? What fell a little short? What can we improve upon? And what should we get rid of all together? In the words of Benjamin Franklin “Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” In order to create positive change and grow as a community I need the support of individuals willing to sacrifice a little time and effort in the pursuit of a larger goal. As the President, I pledge to take our appropriate time and effort in order for this club to achieve the potential that I know it is capable of. I want to make it fun and interactive so you guys enjoy coming to meetings and becoming involved with entrepreneurial projects. At the end of the day, this club is for all of us, and I want people to not only be inspired, but to enjoy themselves.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I promise the majority of my messages to you guys will be brief and concise. Again feel free to send me feedback, ask me questions, or if you simply want to talk. I will try my best to reply in a timely manner (Spain has a bit of a time difference.) My Email is [email protected]
Regards,
Ryan
